Kelly's Cakes

Several years ago, I took a basic cake decorating class. Since then, I've had a terrific time making a variety of different cakes for friends and family. My sister said I should start a blog to share the many pictures I've accumulated. Blog? What's Blog? So here we go.....

Brenda likes to gamble. Lucky for her, she retired so now she has lots of free time to pursue that hobby.

Another self explanatory cake. Johnny graduated from C. Milton Wright High School.

I don't even know the name of this character. My neighbor brought me a picture and asked me to take a crack at it.
Emily had a sleep over for her birthday and wanted something different. The 'people' are just twinkies. The little twinkie next to the 'bed' is a twinkie pirate for Emily's brother, Hunter.

This one is obvious. I made an anniversary cake for Sherry and Russ. They let me make their wedding cake....about a year ago! ;-)

This was for a 2-year old birthday boy. I was fun and stressful all at the same time.

This cake is for my boss, Greg's, 40th birthday in January. Back in December, he took a trip home to Chicago and went sleddng with his family. He told his son's they should make one last run and call it a day. Greg decided he would stand on the sled and 'ski' down the hill. Somewhere along the way, he ended up with a broken leg AND ankle. He was taken away in an ambulance. His biggest mistake of all was telling us the story when he got back to work!

Dora the Explorer for Hannah's birthday party in October.
